About Us
Nexwave Video Games is a retro game store that began in the late 1990s, formed from a passion for collecting video games. We started initially by selling games in local flea markets until 2001 where we grew into an established business, and are now residing in Edmonton.
Our store offers video games and consoles of both the classic and modern generations. We have a great selection of modern and easy to find titles, however, our store specializes in the retro and out of print market, guaranteeing more options than the other stores in the city.
Our History
Our business started in the late 90s when we began collecting video games. Eventually we decided to open a flea market which succeeded beyond our expectations, selling out every week for over one and a half years.
Nexwave originated as a phone company that had a small inventory of video games, until we bought the business and re-branded it completely into a used game store in 2001.
To this day we have had consistent sales and now offer the ability to trade in your collection for cash. This helps keep the store fresh with new titles as well as clearing out your space if needed.
Store Hours
We’re open throughout the week with extended hours on Saturdays and shorter hours on Sundays.
